VaVa Virtual Assistants

SOCIAL MEDIA & CONTENT MANAGER

Remote - Contracted

SOCIAL MEDIA & CONTENT MANAGER

Independent Contractor  |  Remote  |  Minimum 20 Hours/Week

This is an independent contractor (1099) position. VaVa contractors are responsible for managing their own taxes, benefits, and business expenses.

VaVa Virtual Assistants is a remote company based out of Atlanta, Georgia, built on the belief that businesses thrive when they have the right support behind them. We connect clients across industries like nonprofit, legal, coaching, and finance with skilled virtual professionals who bring genuine expertise to the work. Our team may be distributed, but the culture is deeply connected through daily conversation, project collaboration, and regular all-company virtual gatherings.

We are looking for a skilled Social Media & Content Manager who brings both creative instinct and strategic thinking to the work. This person will own content strategy and production across social platforms for our clients, with a strong command of graphic design, short-form video, and community engagement. To succeed here, you need to be self-motivated and detail-oriented, with enough range to move between creative execution and thoughtful platform strategy without losing quality on either end.

Beyond your client work, you will be part of a contractor community that genuinely invests in one another's success. Regular calls with clients and fellow contractors keep you connected to the broader VaVa team, and every interaction is an opportunity to reflect our mission, vision, and values.

Please review the requirements and qualifications below carefully, as they reflect what it truly takes to succeed in this role. We appreciate your interest in joining the team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and manage content strategy across social media platforms, ensuring each platform's approach aligns with the client's brand voice and audience.
  • Plan, produce, and schedule social media content including static graphics, carousels, short-form video, and reels.
  • Edit audio and video assets for use across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms.
  • Design graphics and visual assets using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent tools that meet professional brand standards.
  • Write captions, scripts, and copy in each client's distinct voice, maintaining consistency across all published content.
  • Build and manage content calendars that align with client goals, campaigns, and key dates.
  • Monitor social media engagement and respond to comments, messages, and community interactions in a timely, brand-aligned manner.
  • Manage and grow online communities by fostering conversation, identifying brand advocates, and addressing audience needs.
  • Review platform analytics to assess content performance and bring recommendations to the client.
  • Stay current on platform algorithm changes, trending formats, and emerging content types to keep client strategies competitive.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather feedback, understand preferences, and refine content direction over time.
  • Manage competing deadlines and content production timelines across multiple client accounts.
  • Communicate progress, deliverables, and performance updates to clients clearly and consistently.
  • Maintain organized asset libraries and brand guidelines for each client account.
